Oct 10, 2008 - Actually, I would rephrase that as "Most Japanese people are like a mirror. If you smile with them, they smile with you. If you are sad, they seem sad."What happens when you're confronted with a world that's totally different than your own? You project.I've had a lot of Japanese smile at me. So, speak for yourself.

Oct 10, 2008 - Thank you ever so much for posting this - I have never been to Japan, nor studied its spiritual or architectural history - but I'd created a work a few months ago, that came from a dream of sorts. Music, and purloined images. I never checked the validity or actualilty of the images, I just coordinated the images that "felt" right. Your lovely video has validated so much information for me. Maybe I was there, in a past life? =o)

Oct 10, 2008 - Great Video, whats the name of the song?
Panasonic7707 Says:
Oct 10, 2008 - It's Sigur Rós. I haven't heard this particular song before though, but there's no mistaking their sound. Do yourself a favor and go listen to their album "Takk...". The songs Sæglópur and Heysátan {... meaning Haystack in Icelandic}.

Oct 10, 2008 - It depends what you mean by historical. The whole country is the same age. The whole world is.The oldest buildings are in Nara, I believe. That city is just south of Kyoto and was the capital before Kyoto became capital.Kyoto is the setting for The Tale of Genji, which is considered the oldest novel in the world.
