Alternative view of the train, from standing ground. Please excuse the long lead-in / loud American standing behind me (if that kind of thing bothers you!).

Jul 6, 2008 - oh I'm sorry. so i guess the only forms of transport you would know are Chevy and Dodge pickups, and maybe a lockhead missiles. It may be the third largest but it's not actually a single city, it's made up of 12 counties yes? it's only in something like the top 43rd for population globally .

spudmustang Says:

Jul 6, 2008 - Yeah, just like our cars.

zmass Says:

Jul 6, 2008 - Ever heard of sarcasm? And no Americans do NOT USE trains for transportation like Europe and Asia.

zmass Says:

Jul 6, 2008 - That is why I said US not global. No its not considered 12 counties by the locals. More like.. Tarrant, Dallas, Parker, Rockwall, Collin, Denton, Hood and Johnson and another i cant remember the name of. but not 12. And yes actually I drive a Dodge Nitro, My bro drives a Dodge Ram 1500 so does my dad. No not real big on Chevy or Ford though. Lockhead AKA General Dynamics.

kumatador Says:

Jul 6, 2008 - it's all about the hilux.

kumatador Says:

Jul 6, 2008 - i don't know about sarcasm, but i agree that americans don't use trains the same way as they do across seas. it's a shame.

zmass Says:

Jul 6, 2008 - Is that a little Toyota?

zmass Says:

Jul 6, 2008 - Yea it would solve A LOT of our problems if we actually built some. Its at least an hour commute each way for the majority of America.. could you imagine how much shorter it would be if we had trains??

giguchan Says:

Jul 6, 2008 - I just came back from japan... I wish we (america) would have a better rail system... made travel so much better.....

giguchan Says:

Jul 6, 2008 - Well put.I think that will never happen. we are used to sub par travel. so we live with it, accept it.

zaphraud Says:

Jul 6, 2008 - Yeah, magnets can't make vibration, especially not when in the presence of large amounts of electric current! After all, I'm only *imagining* the vibrations I feel coming out of that 15 inch subwoofer...There will be a substantial force transfered from the magnets to the ground; nothing is perfectly damped. But yeah, the air noise would be more significant at most locations.

gajaroma Says:

Jul 6, 2008 - some Americano even steal the RAIL or other valuable matirials to make their own living so there is only Grayhound bus. Am I right?LOL

Davidmac08 Says:

Jul 6, 2008 - Yeah, tell that to a population wanting to use the high speed rail....once you get to a city, you can just use the sidewalks, becuase American cities are only getting more compact, hahaha
