On the technological front, for those who are not aware , Russia has caught up by leaps and bounds when it comes to modern avionics. Their aircrafts today look more like NATO fighters with state of the art tech. India is the only foreign partner in this new project. Makes sense as India will buy many of these fighters to replace old ones.

I was trying to make a point considering the F-117 has no counter measure's not even Chaff. At least the Mig is faster and has chaff as well as being more maneuverable. Also the F-22 is a whole new ball park of stealth called plan-form alignment. So no need to compare the F-117 to the F-22.

The continuous transmission by the Jammer does not allow Radar to pick up distance only direction. So your saying that Russia has made something that can change the air so it will by-pass this? Come on now. You Russian's get more silly every day. Also you do know that Jamming an F-18 makes no difference if it is the one Jamming? lol

Look up "Base jamming" it's a form of barrage jamming where one radar is jammed effectively at it's source on all frequencies. Making Frequency hopping useless. I think you misunderstood this statement. For the record a SAM using ECM on an airplane is useless. You know the reason for Jamming is to hide range right? Considering that a lot of SAM site's are stationary this makes no difference. Jamming still give's an enemy a sense of direction but not range.

The SAM site's would get destroyed before then even had enough time to filter it out. Not to mention the F-22 is said by engineer's to have the same RCS as a dragonfly. That's A LOT of clutter that needs to be cleaned which no super computer is presently able to do. Maybe in the next 10 years or so.
