Jul 20, 2008 - 1972 JT Concert at DAR Constitution Hall, i was 17 - it was the most memorable Rock experience of my life. When i see these on ourtube, i recall the thrill and rush of being near the stage and Ian Anderson singing, playing and twirling his flute - truly mesmerizing and sensually arresting . . .

Jul 20, 2008 - My first Jethro Tull concert was in high school in 1975, actually, my first ever concert. I was instantly a Tull fan. When they returned each of the next 4 years, I was also there. Then, for Father's Day, in 2002, my wife bought me tickets for a Jethro Tull concert in Kettering, Ohio. After 22 years, I was able to see them again. The seats were very close to the stage at an outdoor venue. I couldn't believe it. She said I looked like a kid at my first concert. It was a wonderful gift!

Jul 20, 2008 - I know older , we are a pair of dinosaurs that know for a fact the bands were better back in the days. Janis was some singer but you would need to be well intoxicated to compare her to a rose. I raise my glass to you in the certain knowledge we are going to get slaughtered by the young dudes. Cheers from Thicko.

Jul 20, 2008 - Tull has various incarnations but the "classic" Tull is defined by "Aqualung". "Thick as Brick" - while excellent is a concept album (one song actually)and isnt representative. Earlier Tull had a bluesy sound - "Stand Up" is my choice as their best work in this genre.

Jul 20, 2008 - ah...the good old days! brings back the memories. Me and my friends hangin' out on a Saturday night in my aunt's basement, this lp spinning, us all stoned and the only problem back then, was that one of us had to get up and flip the record over...the good old days...sigh....still have my original copy.

Jul 20, 2008 - i was born in 72, and my father a drummer, was heavily heavily influenced by Tull. Some of my earliest memories as a child were in our basement listening to Tull. we lived in row housing and were short on bedrooms for the amount of people living in the house, so my folks built a room for their bedroom and on the outside of this room on the walls were the entire lyrics to "Thick as a Brick" my dad had written out, and on another, my uncle had painted a giant 4x6 painted "warchild" logo eagle :)

Jul 20, 2008 - R.I.P Tony Snow, you would TRULY be proud of the kids. The service was beuatiful , the thoughts of your loss is now infinate. We love you. Your brother did the best he could, he broke us all, even Gregory.
thicko70 Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - Howdy TEX, have to be honest and say that Fox news is right wing Zoo T.V. at its worst, however Tony Snow seems to have been a thoroughly decent human being. Anderson's tribute speaks volumes for the quality of the man.
AUS10TEX Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - You do realise Tony's last contract was with CNN? Fox IS right leaning. i'lll agree. ZOO?. Check MSNBC or all three network anchors brown nosing obama through a lost war. he has changed ideas.

Jul 20, 2008 - I always start from 'The Best of___' no matter what artist I'm interested in and then if I like all those songs I start looking at the albums the 'Best of' songs came from. You can look up their song catalog online by googling Jethro Tull to find out. This is why my music collection keeps growing all the time. I hear something I like. buy some CDs. Do some research find more I like. By more CDs. So on and so on and so on....
