Jul 6, 2008 - Back when F1 allowed teams to use turbocharged engines, there was a parallel tournament among the non-turbo teams, which was called the Jim Clark cup. The constructors' championship also had the Colin Chapman trophy for non-turbo teams. 1987 was the last F1 season to have those parallel tournaments, as turbochargers had been banned for the 1989 season. 1988 was deemed a 'transition year'.
