Jul 20, 2008 - i was at k2 in 1997 with a british army expidition i fortunatley did not climb it as the weather and conditions became to dangerous and we stopped on our journey at the mountian looking at the statistics it acctually says that this mountian takes 1 in evey three of its climbers

Jul 20, 2008 - It is indeed.. Way harder. You've got to be a bit crazy to atempt something like climbing K2. It has killed a much higher percentage of the people trying to climb it than Everest. Not that summiting Everest is easy..(!) I have tremendous respect for people with the courage (and cash) to climb these 8000m+ mountains.
