The only reason i can think that your elbow's popping out is because either you're not stabbing (elbow into gut is called a stab) with your elbow at an ANGLE into your stomach or your hands arent facing outwards. The hands do make a big difference, cuz its not like theyre gonna snap which means they force you to stay with your weight in one direction.The "one hand style" is easier imo since you can have all your weight on one elbow, thus keeping it in place.
