Jul 6, 2008 - "Going Underground" was the first British number one chart single by The Jam, released in March 1980. It went straight in at number one, a rare feat at the time, and spent three weeks at the top. It was the first of three instant chart-toppers for the group.

Jul 6, 2008 - i went to see The Jam'd in Gainsborough - they were absolutley fab. My hubby went to see The Jam in 1982 and he said he enjoyed The Jam'd just as much. They looked and sounded superb.

Jul 6, 2008 - Not sure I love Weller's outfit as much as everyone else, but the song CANNOT be argued with. That's the kind of political polemic that gets the blood going.Great work; there's stuff in there that modern bands just won't touch. Still as socially relevant now as they were then.

Jul 6, 2008 - This song has profoundly affected my life to some degree. I'm 40 now, born in the USA and lived in England during the 1970's and early 80's. All that time this song (among others of course from that era) have remained with me. I've NEVER seen the video until now. Thank you for posting!
