Watch the BBQ Pit Boys show you how to barbecue up two tender and juicy 4lb. chickens on the grill, Beer Butt Chicken Style. And, it's real easy to do. All you need for this barbecue chicken recipe favorite is two cans of beer (or water if you must), salad oil dressing, 1 onion, salt, pepper, and any favorite basting sauce, such as our garlic butter with soy sauce. Fire up your grill to 325-350f, and in as little as 2 hours you will be dancing right along with the roasters, as their tender and juicy meat falls off the bones. Join us for this finger lickin' episode and many more BBQ recipes on YouTube and at www.BarbecueWeb.com. Thanks for stoppin' by!

Jul 20, 2008 - Hey, thanks a lot for taking the time out to tell me this. As always, it was my pleasure.

Jul 20, 2008 - those birds look fantastic. one thing i have done in the past is pour the beer in abowl along with a little rub/seasoning of your choice. put it in microwave just long enough to get it steaming. pour it back in the cans just before you put them on the grill. it is an extra step, but it helps the process along. love the videos. keep them coming.

Jul 20, 2008 - hey bottleofre, been meanin' to get back to ya, but been real busy. One thing we do around here is we tell all our friends of BBQ to make their BBQ their own...and get that fire goin' the best way ya can...and if ya don't have some of your homemade sauce available, well then, use someone else's.....it's OK! -BBQ Pit Boys

Jul 20, 2008 - Just bought a grill and am entering the world of BBQ...I have a lot to learn, but I'm looking forward to it. Could it be divine providence that the grill I bought is exactly the same model as the one in this vid? Bought it two days before the idea of youtubing "BBQ" crossed my mind. I call it a good omen. Now off to attempt to grill some chicken for my family! This video sure came in handy, and I bet all of the others will too.

Jul 20, 2008 - hey jeffpicks, no sir -same chimney and 1/2 full of charcoal for the duration of the bbq. Many don't realize how much cookin' time ya can get out of a small amount of charcoal using a quality grill! -BBQ Pit Boys

BarbecueWeb Says:

Jul 20, 2008 - Congrats KurtsGirl618, somebody is watchin' over ya. A real good recipe to start with when learning how to use the grill and the "indirect" heating method, is our "BBQ Chicken Split Roasted Style". Simple to do, and comes out deliciously perfect every time! Remember to keep the bottom vents open and adjust the temperature with the top vents. Thanks for stoppin' by! -BBQ Pit Boys

Jul 20, 2008 - I tried this last night on my propane grill and it turned out great FYI. Im sure the smokey flavor does add some addition taste though. Or use a smoke box in your propane for additional flavor. Great recipie for sure
