Jul 6, 2008 - id love to know what model organ they used, i just love that sound they get out of it.

Jul 6, 2008 - The album credits on Wikipedia just say this is Hammond organ (no model given) and Mellotron, but that doesn't look like a Hammond in the vid to me. Nor does that look like a Mellotron sitting on top of it. It's too dark to tell really.

Jul 6, 2008 - Wonderful.

Jul 6, 2008 - The keyboard on top is a Hohner Pianet (I believe) although played thru a fuzz-box. The organ sure has the famous Hammond percussion to it (when not also going through a fuzz-box).

Jul 6, 2008 - I think it's a simple "Farfisa" organ I played in a group in 1974 and we had similar sounds with a Farfisa ... we tried to imitate the caravan 's sound

Jul 6, 2008 - can't hear it on this, but the studio version at 1:27 "on the golf course, we talk in morse" is followed by the morse code "O S T E R S". Cool, but is this jibberish, ref to the swedish football team or something else i'm missing?

Jul 6, 2008 - It's definitely a Hammond organ, probably a chopped B-3. The keyboard on top is a Hohner Pianet (model N, I believe).

Jul 6, 2008 - Now I know why this reminds me so much of Camel... that's Richard Sinclair on bass and vocals!!! Good song

Jul 6, 2008 - Great song by a great group from a great lp! Wonderful to finally see them actually perform the song after so many years listening to it. Original lineup of the group. It doesn't get better than this. Long live YouTube! I'll keep checking on new vintage Caravan posts, and Traffic, Moody Blues, Tyrannosaurus Rex, etc. Thanks for the upload, man!
