Aug 20, 2008 - I love Elvis. I even made some videos of Elvis and he is my favorite singer. Yet, I must confess Danny's version is better. Elvis drops a verse in his and as much as I respect James Burton...I think the guitar in this better.

They have over 100k ablums in stock, and if it's out of "print" they will transer the album to CD, and for a few extra bucks, even copy over the cover .. They've never let me down yet.

Aug 20, 2008 - You play around you lose your wifeYou play too long you lose your life. Sad how that's come to pass for many folks we know. Man I like YOUTUBE. I really liked the music of the 80's and 70's. Just can't relate to today's music scene

Aug 20, 2008 - By the end of the 60s the Seattle folk scene and the fringie community on the ave had faded into needles and groupies. Free love didn't work. Many beautiful people overdosed. Seattle did seem changed when I would return for visits during the early 70s.Another favorite - "Quits" on the Harry Truman album

Aug 20, 2008 - Great song! Danny did a good interpretaion and he has the merit of writing this great song but Elvis version is really better. Why? Simply because Elvis was like Sinatra a master singer, a true artist of emotional comunication.Elvis makes us belive is singuing about himself in most songs he recorded.Maybe he really was singuing about himself in this song, its interesting to note tha the king omited the verse "i got my pills to ease the pain", he really knew how much this song reflected his life!
