May 14, 2008 - erm dude, iguana only eat veggies, they are strictly herbivors and should not be fed crickets,it can lead to kidney failur and many other illness. You better stop feeding ur iguana crickets man
stacyhalde Says:
May 14, 2008 - They eat insects in the wild, even small mammals, like mice. Also I have a vet that is a reptile specialist. My iggy loved chasing the crickets, I don't mean to say to make a staple out of insects, but they do need some in their diet, not a lot, and the chasing part gives them a lot of joy. Also my female Vita who was over 5 feet used to get mice, on her own and eat them, especially while trying to lay eggs. She once laid 49 eggs. She ate most of them, they were not fertalized

May 14, 2008 - STOP FEEDING YOUR IG CRICKETS! Their bodys are only designed to cope with fruit and veg. They are herbivores and you could shorten your iguanas life by YEARS if you do not stop.

May 14, 2008 - The bearded dragons are totally easy. I don't know about iguanas. You can let your beardie alone in your back yard as long as you have it fenced in and no trees . It is good to have a buddy like a dog to protect it from birds of prey. They need lots of water at their disposal and they like to poop in it . Then you have to dump the water. They like a little greenery too. Not just meat. If they are well fed, they wont try to leave you.

May 14, 2008 - It´s good for them to aid some insects in their diets, like crickets and worms(not the ones used to fishing, I mean another ones special for reptiles pets), Perceval(my iguana) loves to hunt his food, and its some exercise for him, he likes them and its good for him, and I feed with vegs and fruits too...and he is very healthy...One friend of my that is a veterinary told me that its not bad for him to feed him with some insects too...excuse my bad english
