In my opinion this is the finest bulerias that you will hear...when this vid was made Paco was at the top of his game...his mastery of this particular palo is unquestionable...you only get this good when you start as a child and practice 10 hours a day...paco is playing a concert flamenco made by the luthiers Conde hermanos...model number 14 "Sobrinos de Esteso" which has the perfect flamenco guitar sound "sharp and crisp" to cut through the sound of Singing clapping and dancing...His brother Pepe is the "Cantor" on this occassion who also sings very well

Aug 20, 2008 - Hi Thanks...I took the information from D E pohrens Book"Paco de lucia&family" and as he is a renowned authority on all things "flamenco"i though he must be correct on the model of guitar that Paco played...though i agree it sounds unlike a rosewood guitar as that is not traditional material for a flamenco guitar which is Spruce soundboard and cypress back and sides....as i agree with your comment i will change my introduction

Aug 20, 2008 - This is a cypress guitar, not rosewood. The sound of this guitar is sharp and metallic not "woody and soulful". In his earlier days, he played a traditional blanca like this.
