All the biting criticism of Bush was edited out when the August 3 edition of Fox News's "Special Report" borrowed a clip from the Daily Show that aired the night before. The way I see it, Jon Stewart's point was that Bush is overeating because he feels badly about how his presidency is going. Fox News kept in the "Bush is overeating" part, but left out the "because he feels badly about how his presidency is going" part. You can see the entire August 2, 2006, Daily Show segment from which I took the clip in my video at: http://www.thedailyshow.com/video/index.jhtml?videoId=120344&title=george-w.-bush-overeater

Jul 20, 2008 - The question is, why did Fox News edit out the criticisms of Bush?
tarynactress Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - AMEN!!!!!!!!!!

Jul 20, 2008 - I'm a liberal, love the Daily Show, and find Fox News funny for all the wrong reasons, but this is just silliness. This is proving nothing and is just taking you down to Fox News' level. It looks like you just ran out of criticism but still wanted to make a video.
jamalXIX Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - YUCK.Sorry but the guy talking is so disgusting, you can hear the spit in his mouth.
DaveBoxler Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - this is stupid. Can't believe you put that much effort into editing a video so lame. They were reporting on Bush, not summarizing Stewart's comedy routine.Dumbass.
flagflipper44 Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - stop talking. it's creepy.
tarrazo Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - fair and balance ja,ja,ja,jafox news sucks!!!!!
lmccarthy42 Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - Just allow the Fox audience watch and believe. Maybe Fox watchers who don't know who Stewart is (or do know) may be curious and watch Stewart and think that he is "on to something" or whatever, and then find out who Stewart really is. Then it'll show Fox as liars, cherry pickers, deceptive editors, whatever. Maybe. Let the believers be fooled.
utubegetstedious Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - although fox sucks, and the daily show rocks, this was a weak video. pretty sure you could cut it down to 3 minutes
PureHatered32 Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - You confuse "Analysis" with "joke" or "Satire." Jon Stewart isn't there to make a hardcore analysis, that's like comparing the Stock Market analysts vs. what Colbert's alien broker says. "Oh boy I get to see Stewart's routine again on Fox News!" NO, you wanna see the routine again? Watch the rerun or TIVO THE MOTHERFUCKER!!! Why are you trusting Fox News anyway?George Carlin was right when he said "Some people are fuckin STUPID!"
usergently Says:

fenimorecarson Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - In this case, the clip was MUCH funnier than the original source. After all, their goal wasn't to give a balanced view of Jon Stewarts view of the president. It was to show the part they found most humerous. Now that I have seen both, I think I support their decision. So, if your assertion is that they (fox) should have included more of the clip, I would just ask why? From a humer standpoint, i don't see the point.
mellancamp4ever Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - just because they cut the clip down for their short little segment doesn't mean they're distorting the truth. While your little michael moore style narration is cute, I think you're scraping the bottom of the barrel here since there are far worse things that FOX lies about and twists.
greaterpunt Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - Fox is the Real FAKE news ... but, i am sure you already know that
shoes1922 Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - John Stewart makes his jokes out of total truth. and sometimes that truth shit hurts!
FunkKing Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - The clips were good, but this was a weak idea for a video. Are you just trying to sneak in Daily Show clips under the radar?
thestudiio Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - this was just a joke .. not worth all the attention. But Stewart had no business calling the President a fat fuck and hey tubby .. thats inappropriate and lazy. Yes Fox is unfair but it still rules the ratings .. everyone would rather watch Bill OReilly and Sean Hannity lie and scheme coz its entertaining than Wolf and Cafferty hemming and hawing. News is entertainment and Fox is doing product placement for the Right. Don't condemn them .. applaud them for their good business sense.
ajcarrea5 Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - jon stewart is a beast
Paintersjeans Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - yea well...i'd much rather watch jon call the president a fat fuck than watch fox news haha...so much for good business sense lol
malachi777777 Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - This is just propaganda has always been around to act as though fox news is fake news is stupid because all news broadcasters do this.
noquarter610 Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - This video is retarded. I'm sure its not that difficult to come up with some actual bias from FoxNews that you can then dub over with your smarmy voice.
Lymojo Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - I hate Fox as much as anyone, but this sort of pointless nitpicking just weakens your position.
