Jul 20, 2008 - they use their mind, this is the funniest of this video, i like the big exercise of Marx (like he is ready for communism), i like the troubles of Nietsche, socrates all time is thinking something to do but....nothing!when they go to play, they stop again for thinking!hahaha
TomCass91 Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - so funny when the commentator runs through the germans philosophy when they dispute the goal and then just "marx says its offside".
guitarslingeroflove Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - and marx is complaining it was offsides (!)
monkehuk Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - Probably a bit weak but I believe that refers to Marx believe that no one can escape from the fals class conciousness...or I could be over thinking it meh.
guitarslingeroflove Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - funny either way
modularsky Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - I think it's more referring to the fact that Marx was the one 'realist' in the entire German tradition. IE. history is not the story of Reason and Spirit but of _class struggles_. Thus Marx is the only one to take the realist perspective and say the ball was offsides.
mtheoryrules Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - If marx is a realist then I am afraid I simpy do not understand what the word should mean in common usage.

Jul 20, 2008 - The Greeks were going to include Zeno but he never made it to the stadium, he got to the half way point, then half way again, then half way again.... but never actually got there. So Archimedes was the surprise substitute. I'm serious you know. lol
Dioon Says:

xyckriz Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - The German philosophers should have listened to Arthur Schopenhauer's pessimism - that everything is determined and there is no way that they will win that game.
StartbahnWest Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - @xyckrixSchopenhauer was not a pessimist, he was a realist. He is dead, so he was right with his statements.
StartbahnWest Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - Ich finde, dass das Spiel nicht fair war.Der Schiri war total parteiisch.

Jul 20, 2008 - Schopenhauer would not play in the same team as Hegel^^ :DHonestly, this video is just brilliant. So intelligently made and at the same time hilarious. 2:59-3:43 is probably the best part, I love how Archimedes cries "Heureka!" and Marx claims its offsides. ;-)
Dracargen Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - That was hilarious.
wheredidallthepeople Says:
