A small amount of liquid nitrogen is poured into a 2-liter bottle, secured with duct tape and bricks. As the liquid nitrogen warms up, the pressure in the bottle increases, eventually rupturing it. The amount of force from the pressure is so large it can send a large volume of water relatively high for how small of the liquid N2 you put in.DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOMEPut on by the physics department at Western Washington University.

Jul 6, 2008 - Fake? no. not fake.It doesn't hurt him because it heats up in the air, and by the time it hits him his skin, it's still liquid nitrogen, but it'll melt "on pre-contact" of his skin, meaning the heat from his skin boils it into a very cooled gasious state. I know what I'm talking about. Studying liquid nitrogen for half a year and watching someone dip a flower in it and shatter it is two completely different things.
