Nov 21, 2008 - I saw a group that plays similarly to this called the moutin quartet, a french jazz group. It was incredible. The Moutin brothers, Frances and Louis, play bass and drums, or is it drums and bass, and they can read each others mind's when they're playing since they are twins, I think identical. They also had a brilliant young pianist named tigran hamasyan. But I think what's amazing about this video is the fact that that drummer, roy haynes, is 82... believe it or not.

drumbum1010 Says:

Nov 21, 2008 - I don't know if anyone could comment on this for me, but I've been practicing to this version of this tune since I don't have the album version, and could not figure out why the first chorus of the piano solo was so difficult until I realized that they fucked it up and go out of phase at about the fifteenth bar, if counting to six. I believe the chord change arrives two or three beats early. Has anyone else noticed this, if practicing to this version of this tune?
